These updated batteries have the following design features that make them leaders in their respective market segment: - Increase in the number of lead plates; - Grid construction - Expanded grid with increased current transmission; - Increasing the capacity of the positive electrode, due to the increased paste smearing of the plates. High purity lead is used for the production of "Premium" class batteries. The composition of the alloy also includes silver (Ag), which enhances the traction characteristics of the battery and increases vibration resistance. Along with silver, calcium alloy alloying the plates with tin (Sn), increases the volume and area of the plates (more than 1%) and the method of introducing it into the alloy is the "know-how" of the company "Vesta". The use of tin provides greater resistance to vibration, improved corrosion resistance, the improved grid provides more efficient starting of the "Premium" class battery. Another feature of "Premium" batteries - a new "top performance" pocket-separator developed by the German company Daramik. With a thickness of 250 microns, it has twice the puncture resistance, and is absolutely acid resistant. This makes it possible to extend the service life of the battery (subject to the rules specified in the user manual).
